The mission of Allamakee Scholarship Fund, Inc. is to encourage local students to reach for and achieve their educational goals.
Allamakee Scholarship Fund, Inc. Background:
The Allamakee Scholarship Fund, Inc. was reorganized the fall of 2014 after being a chapter of Scholarship America since March, 1993.
Originally Allamakee Dollars for Scholars, now Allamakee Scholarship Fund, Inc. has awarded more than $704,000 in scholarships to 1288 students.
Our program was recognized as the 2010 Iowa Chapter of the Year by Iowa Dollars for Scholars.
The program was also a recipient of an Iowa Governor's Volunteer Service Award in July, 2010.
Allamakee Scholarship Fund, Inc. serves students from the Allamakee Community School District located in Waukon, IA. It is a locally operated and supported non-profit, tax-exempt scholarship organization. Directed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, the purpose is to expand access to educational opportunities for our students.
